Your identity documents

You will need a passport to travel on our routes. Check its expiry date, you will need a valid passport for the duration of your trip and some countries even require a minimum validity of 4 to 6 months.

Visas

The type of visa you will need differs according to situations. It depends on the country you will be visiting as well as your citizenship and the reason for your trip (tourism, studies, business or others). Delays for obtaining a visa can be long, check a long time prior to departure for the steps you should take.

WARNING: New enhanced security requirements for entry into the United States effective 12th January 2009

Effective 12 th January 2009, nationals of Visa Waiver Program countries* going to the United States in transit or for a maximum stay of 90 days, will have to apply for an approved travel authorization prior to departure, on the following secure Web site https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov.

An application can be submitted at any time before your travel to the United States. However, a minimum delay of 72 hours prior to departure is strongly recommended.

Once granted, and unless revoked, a travel authorization is valid for two years from the date of authorization, or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. A proof of this authorization will be required at the check-in counters to deliver a boarding pass. Travelers are thus requested to keep with them a printed version of their authorization for every travel or transit in the United States. For each new transit or stay in the United States thereafter, passengers are advised to update their authorization online, using their ESTA application number.
